They finally explained Grace's lovelife. She's having an affair with her first husband (Ray aka Hephaestus) behind her current husband's (Ari aka Ares) back. Now that that's straight, I have to say damn, Ray's hot! Yeah, totally wasn't expecting that considering how Hephaestus was described in the myths.

Pheobe's a bitch. An annoying bitch. I want her gone. And I know her vision makes it look like Kate is going to kill Grace, but Phoebe didn't even come close to getting the whole story. I bet Kate's writing some sort of slasher movie and is basing the lead character on Grace.

Ari (who is both shorter and less hot than his son Danny) mentioned someone wants to go to war with the Olympian gods. I bet it's the Titans. You know, if we ever get to see that war, I'll be tickled pink, Greek myth geek that I am. I liked that Ari's Trojan War II scenario used real political figures. He's insane, but at least he keeps up with current events.

How cute were Kate and Danny dancing together? Yeah, I so want to see her with him. He's growing on me. The only thing I don't like about Danny is that he's wearing a rosary, another crucifix, and possibly the Miraculous Medal around his neck. Now, if it turns out the Greek God of Love is a Catholic, I'd be fine with it (though that would be the ultimate in irony). But since I seriously doubt it, he needs to take them off.

Oh, and whoever's in charge of Leo's hair and wardrobe is not doing him any favors.

Yeah, this episode's definitely an improvement over the pilot.

Poor Leo.

And now that I've got my head around the mythology -- it would be cool if the Titans vs. the Olympians showed up -- possibly hinted at by Ari's Trojan War II scenario.

Yeah, I noticed Danny's crucifix/rosary necklaces in the pilot and was kind of bwuh? about it. I think he's shallow enough that he thinks he can wear religious paraphernalia as a fashion statement because he's an actual god. Seems like the kind of thing he'd do, anyway.

And yes, Phoebe's going to go completely insane with her Kate-will-kill-Grace vision and it will turn out to be...not that. I don't think it's just a book idea of Kate's, though. I think it will happen and Kate will be there, but it won't be what Phoebe thinks.

I never thought about it that way, but you're right.

Maybe Kate will save Grace instead.
