2009 meme

1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?

I did more sophisticated/complicated cross-stitch kits.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

My 2009 Resolutions
Write something.
Nope, didn't write a damn thing. Got caught up in my cross-stitching. Or maybe I should say tied up. ;-)

Exercise regularly.
Nope, didn't do that either. I tried, and I'm sure I'll make it a resolution for 2010, but I always have problems sticking to that.

Spend less.
I have actually gotten better about that one.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Nope.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

No, thank God.

5. What countries did you visit?

None. I haven't left the country since 1999.

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?

Money. A boyfriend would be nice too, but money is much more likely.

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Jan 20th -- I hosted my first Inauguration party. I'll probably do it again in 2012.

Feb 17th -- The day I joined Twitter. I still don't use it regularly, but it's fun to have.

May 24th -- Mom and I saw Wicked. It rocked.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Giving firelion, Mom, and Breanna cross-stitched gifts.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Not finishing more of my cross-stitch projects and not writing a damn thing.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

I ended the year with a cold/sinus infection, but that's nothing new.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

2 tickets to Wicked. Mom and I had a blast.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

firelion, for putting up with me.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

Sarah Palin. Tiger Woods. This list is endless.

14. Where did most of your money go?

My apartment.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

Wicked.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

a) happier or sadder? Happier, I guess.

b) thinner or fatter? Slightly thinner, I think. Need to exercise more.

c) richer or poorer? More stuff, less money. That makes me poorer, I think.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Writing, definitely.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Shopping, definitely.

20. How did you spend Christmas?

With my family, as always.

21. Did you fall in love in 2009?

I acquired a few more crushes.

None.

Pawn Stars is my most recent fav.

I don't think so.

Seanan McGuire can sing and songwrite like nobody's business.

Burn Notice Season 2, Pride and Prejudice the comic book.

The Tudors Season 3, Gaslight Grimoire: Fantastic Tales of Sherlock Holmes

29. What were your favorite films of this year?

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (the critics can bite me)

Nothing else really wowed me.

30. What did you do on your birthday?

Had Pizza Hut pizza, chocolate cake, and peppermint ice cream with my family.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Having more money.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?

If it's clean and in good condition, I'll wear it.
