My POTC: Dead Man's Chest review

I think I'd have to see it again to give a detailed review, so for now I'll just go over what I loved and what I didn't.

The Good
Captain Jack taking his frustration out on Monkey Jack.

Raghetti "reading" the Bible.

Pintel and Raghetti fawning all over Jack.

Elizabeth's wedding gown marionette.

The pirates' reaction to Jack ordering them to use the rum with the gunpowder.

Barbossa's five-second scene, especially since he was eating one of his beloved apples. The next movie's going to be such a hoot with him in it!

Davy Jones' variation of the Black Spot.

The Bad
The cannibals were pointless.

Combining Davy Jones and the legend of the Flying Dutchman, especially since Jones' boat doesn't even fly.

Tia Dalma's accent. I had a hard time figuring out half the stuff she was saying.

The Ugly
Norrington betraying Jack and the others. Seeing him as a broken man fascinated me (such a 180 from the last movie), but betraying his crewmates was just wrong. I'm hoping he redeems himself in the next movie.

ugh. i hated that it was such a tee up for the next one. I wanted at least a little bit of resolution, you know? I also should have watched the first one again before going to see this one.
I agree on the cannibals thing..it seemed silly and alot of the "escape attempts" could have been deleted. They also could have easily ended the movie on the beach with Will destroying the heart, or whatever. OF course, then what good is a sequel?

Yeah, I was hoping for resolution, then I realized as it got closer and closer to the end that this would be like The Two Towers and there wouldn't be a resolution.

Something tells me Davy Jones will make an uneasy alliance with Jack to get his heart back from Lord Bennett, or whatever the guy's name is.
