Took me long enough, huh?

Well, I finally did it. I now have my very own livejournal. firelion is so proud. :-)

I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Tara aka Tari (pronounced like Terry, it's what my brother Robert calls me) aka Dreamin'. I'll answer to any of those.

Currently, I'm 25 and single, much to my mother's chagrin. Let's see. I have two younger brothers. Robert (the middle child of us three) just got married in March. He and his wife Lindsey are expecting their first baby, due in late January. Mark (the youngest) is engaged and his fiancee Patty is due in late December. Winter babies seem to run in my family.

I still live at home with my parents. Not as much independence, but I can't complain about the rent. I'm a corporate travel agent with a nationwide travel agency. Right now, I won't say who. I'll probably rant about them soon enough.

I'm a huge bookworm. I have a book collection that rivals some libraries. It's mostly romance novels, murder mysteries, and fantasy novels.

Right now, my Harry Potter obsession is working overtime, what with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix coming out in a few days. I absolutely love the books. My friend Rachel introduced me to them shortly after Goblet Of Fire came out. I'll probably never stop thanking her for that. Now I have my best friend Alexa aka Allie hooked. We all love the plots, the fantasy elements, and the characters. Currently, my favorites are Severus Snape, Hermione Granger, and Marcus Flint. I'll explain why later, don't worry.

I'm also a big Lord Of The Rings fan. I tried reading The Fellowship Of The Ring after I saw the movie, but I found it to be dense and long-winded, so I'm sticking to the movies. My favorite LOTR characters would be Aragorn and Gandalf.

Of course, one of my all time favorite movies is Labyrinth. You know, David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly, Jim Henson, 1986? Think Bowie in tights and Tina Turner's wig and a bunch of Muppet goblins. Believe me, it's better than it sounds. :-)

Let's see. Books, movies. Oh, TV. I don't watch much television, since I spend most of my time on-line, but I am a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine, and CSI. I'm becoming a fan of Angel the Series and I'm liking JAG more and more with each rerun I see on the USA network.

Music? I love lite rock, monster ballads, Yanni, and a few others. My taste in music can get pretty eclectic. I just got my first heavy metal cd from Amazon yesterday. It's the XXX soundtrack. Rammstein is one strange group.

Well, that's enough about me for one entry. More to come. :-)
