I'm finally reading the copy of Jane Austen's Mansfield Park that I bought a while back. I just started, so I'm still on the intro. From what I've heard, lots of Austen fans hate MP's heroine, Fanny Price. They think she can't compare with Elizabeth Bennet of P&P and Emma Woodhouse of Emma. From what I know of Fanny, I think I can sympathize with her -- quiet, shy, reserved, and feels out of place among her relatives.

Hopefully, I will be able to finish this one (unlike when I tried to read Sense & Sensibility) and it won't take me forever (like when I read P&P).
