I had a pretty rough day at work.
Imagine my delight when I came home to find three boxes waiting for me.
The first was from Amazon. Inside was a card from firelion
saying, "Happy Birthday! Here's some tunes for my Tara. :)" and three CDs:
"Ten Summoner's Tales," Sting
"U218 Singles," U2
Then, imagine my surprise to find the second box was from DeBrand
, Allie's favorite chocolate company. Inside were a box of chocolate truffles, a milk chocolate bar with a Happy Holidays wrapper, a jar of hot chocolate sauce, a bag of cinnamon marshmallows, and a mug with chocolate glaze dripping down it. The card for these presents was simple and to the point -- Merry Christmas.
*swoons* I'm such a chocoholic.
The third box was also from Amazon. This one held my Christmas presents from Aunt Penny:
"William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream" soundtrack
"Now That's What I Call Music! 16"
"The Open Door," Evanescence
"Have A Ball," Me First and the Gimme Gimmes
DVDsJudge DreddThe Phantom
And one book -- Television Without Pity: 752 Things We Love To Hate (And Hate To Love) About TV
The best part, though, has to be the cards -- "Happy Hanukkah!" "Merry Christmas!" "Happy New Year!" "Peace on Earth!" "Goodwill to Men!" "Yada yada yada!" "Happy Hanukkah!"
Now I know for sure where my sense of humor comes from -- Dad's side of the family. :-)
