I got an email today from UPS saying Hookmarks was sending me something.

If you know me, you know that I order a lot (a lot) of stuff online. I thought maybe it was something I ordered, but I didn't recognize the company name. I googled Hookmarks and came up with this site that sells metal bookmarks. Since I definitely haven't ordered any of those, 1 of two things has happened.

1. I was sleepwalking.

2. Somebody sent me a present.

Since I seriously doubt I could surf the Net in my sleep, somebody must have bought something from that site for me. It's not anywhere near my birthday or Christmas and I haven't done anything particularly nice for anyone lately, so I don't know why someone's being generous.

Well, whoever it is that's sending me a present, thank you, but one thing -- you got my house number wrong. The last two digits were reversed on the email from UPS. Let's hope it still gets to me.

So now I'm happy that somebody sent me a gift but worried I won't receive it.

This is why I don't like surprises.
