Angeronalia, reviewed 11-19-07
Strength, passion, and the cleansing fire of joy: olive blossom, white nectarine, vibrant blood orange, honey absolute, lemongrass, elemi, sensual patchouli, and the quiet purity of gardenia.

On me, Angeronalia is olive blossom, orange, maybe a little honey, and a little gardenia. It's neutral, gorgeous, and a new favorite.

Archangel Winter, reviewed 11-17-07
Crystalline, glassy ice whipped by a snowstorm. Piercing ozone, winter darkness.

On me, Archangel Winter is cool ozone with some sort of green scent beneath it. I can't figure out where the green is coming from but I do like it. It's a very neutral bordering on masculine scent.

Chanukkiyah, reviewed 12-10-07
Olive oil, beeswax, glowing amber, sweet sufganiyot, pomegranate, and fig.

On me, Chanukkiyah seems to be just sugared pastry and olive oil. Funnel cake, anyone? I like it, don't get me wrong, but I was hoping for the pomegranate and fig. I'm hoping age will bring them out.

Christmas Rose, reviewed 11-18-07
Bruise-tinted hellebore blossoms pushing through snowdrifts.

I'm not familiar with the scent of hellebore, but here goes. Christmas Rose is a light, greenish floral mixed with cold. It's the feminine counterpart to Archangel Winter. I like it but it's not really me so I'll pass it on.

Egg Nog 2007, reviewed 12-11-07
Sweet brandy, dark rum, heavy cream, sugar, and a dash of nutmeg.

Oh my... I've never had spiked egg nog, but if it tastes as good as this smells, then I want some pronto! Egg Nog '07 is sweet brandy and cream over egg. If you liked Egg'd Mailbox, you have to try this.

ETA: After a couple of hours, it morphed into something that smells like coldsore medicine. Yuck. Egg Nog, you're going into the aging pile.

The Fruit of Paradise, reviewed 11-20-07
The Fruit of Paradise, the Nectar of Death: bittersweet pomegranate.

On me, The Fruit of Paradise is slightly sweet pomegranate. It's not tart like the pomegranate in Persephone but just as enjoyable. I may need another bottle of this.

Haloa 2007, reviewed 11-21-07
Wine grapes, myrrh, frankincense and olive leaf, and the warm scent of offertory cakes.

On me, Haloa is just grape juice and incense resins. Nice, certainly, but not me. I think this one might work better as a room scent than perfume.

Jólasveinar 2007, reviewed 12-14-07
Their scent is a mishmash of snow, dirt, Icelandic moss, marsh felwort, and the smushed petals of buttercups and moorland spotted orchids, with the barest hint of the scent of pilfered Christmas pastries.

On me, Jólasveinar 2007 is pastries and moss. An odd combination, but not a bad one.

Krampus 2007, reviewed 12-13-07
Sinister red musk, black leather, dusty rags, and wooden switches.

In the bottle and wet on my skin, Krampus 2007 is intense red musk and wood with some leather. Dry, the musk and wood have settled while the leather is pretty much gone. It's a masculine blend but still one that women can wear. It's not really me but I do like it.

La Befana, reviewed 11-23-07
Candy charcoal, winter lilies, parma violet, a sprig of cypress, a poof of chimney dust, and holiday sweets.

On me, La Befana is just the chimney dust and holiday sweets. It's an interesting combination but not what I was looking for. Where are the violets? I'm hoping age will improve this.

Lick It One More Time, reviewed 12-12-07
Every holiday season should be full of lewd suggestions and filthy double entendres, right? This is a new take on Lick It and Lick It Again -- a peppermint candy cane with a flash of vanilla and an extra jolt of sugar.

Wow. Lick It One More Time smells like a candy cane with a little bit of sugar. The scent is nice, but what I really like is the cool, tingling sensation the blend leaves on my skin. This would be perfect for a summer heatwave.

Midwinter's Eve '07, reviewed 11-24-07
A melancholy, deep scent, poignant and brimming with nostalgia. The perfume of sugared plums over a breeze of winter flowers.

On me, Midwinter's Eve is sweet, juicy plums and no flowers whatsoever. Still, I love it and I plan to wear it year-round.

Mistletoe '07, reviewed 11-25-07
The plant of peace in Norse tradition. If enemies met in the forest and came upon a sprig, they laid down their arms and observed a truce until the next sunrise.

On me, Mistletoe '07 is pine, another green plant scent, and a hint of something white and sweet. I absolutely love this and it's perfect as either perfume or a room scent. If you like Yankee Candle's Christmas Wreath, try this.

Noche Buena, reviewed 12-15-07
A celebration of the Nativity: the light, uplifting incense of the Misa de Noche Buena, purple sage, and a vibrant bouquet of plumeria, chrysanthemum, tuberose, Angel's Trumpet, Mexican tiger lily, dahlia, and azucenas.

Wet on my skin, Noche Buena is a wet floral. It smells almost exactly like apples. Dry, the wet part is replaced by an herbal note, which I guess is the sage. I like this a lot, but I think I'll save this for the warmer months.

November, reviewed 11-22-07
Autumn leaves damp beneath the first snowfall.

On me, November is similar to October -- wavering between autumn leaves and cologne. November adds a touch of cold. I like it now but I think I'll like it even more once it's aged a bit.

Peacock Queen 2007, reviewed 11-26-07
This is a blood red, voluptuous rose, velvet-petaled, at the height of bloom.

On me, Peacock Queen '07 is tea rose single note. It's a nice scent, don't get me wrong, but I was expecting something more.

Pink Snowballs, reviewed 2-18-10
A lighthearted winter scent: chilly vanilla rose snowballs! Dainty, soft, and certainly unfit for flinging!

In the bottle and wet on my skin, Pink Snowballs is rich vanilla and a hint roses. As it dries, the roses get stronger to the point where they're balanced with the vanilla. This is very soft and feminine. A new favorite!

Rose Red 2007, reviewed 11-28-07
The perfected winter rose, dew covered and freshly cut.

Wet on my skin, Rose Red '07 is a red rose still mostly closed and there's a hint of snow. It's a very sharp smell and if it were stronger, it'd be headache-inducing. Drying, the rose scent mellows, the snow vanishes and is replaced by a green smell which I guess is the stems. Dry, there is an earthy hint. It smells a bit like vetiver. Overall, this is a unique rose blend. I haven't decided if it's a keeper.

The Shivering Boy 2007, reviewed 12-17-07
Cold, cold forever more. A winter storm roaring through empty stone halls, bearing echoes of despair, desolation, and death on its winds. The scent of frozen, dormant vineyards, bitter sleet, and piercing ozone, hurled through labdanum, benzoin, and olibanum.

Wet on my skin, The Shivering Boy is just grapes. I guess the frozen vineyard thawed on my skin. Dry, pine starts to come through as well. I like this one but I can't see myself wearing it often.

The Snow Storm, reviewed 12-16-07
Winter aconite, balsam fir, cedar leaf, and white mint.

On me, The Snow Storm is fir and a hint of cedar over mint. I love it and I hope it comes back every year.

Snow White 2007, reviewed 11-27-07
A chilly, bright perfume: flurries of virgin snow, crisp winter wind and the faintest breath of night-blooming flowers.

In the bottle, Snow White '07 is mixed florals with a little cold. On my skin, it's coconut cream. I'm not sure what's causing the morph but I'm willing to give Snow White another try before I give her up.

The Nutcracker 2010
Klara, reviewed 12-29-10
Honey dusting powder, mandarin, iris, ylang ylang, tea rose, and carnation.

On me, Klara is honey dusting powder, mandarin, and a hint of floral. It's pretty but I don't need another bottle.

The Nutcracker, reviewed 1-07-11
Frankincense, black mission fig, and galbanum.

On me, The Nutcracker is frankincense and what I guess is the galbanum. I don't get fig at all. This is nice as it is but I'm hoping aging will help.
