Don't you hate it when there are things you could be doing, but you're just not in the mood to do them?

I could work more on my story, but I'm feeling overwhelmed by it and I'm also so tired of doing research. I still need to do more, unfortunately.

I don't even have much for it. I'm still working out the details of the hero, I've hardly got anything for the heroine or the villain(s), and I've got something of a plot. I do have the themes (yes, there are more than one) and the genre.

I have been going over the first scene in my head. The problem is that the quality of my writing doesn't come close to what I can picture in my head. I guess that's because my writing skills aren't developed enough.

Did you know that it took J.R.R. Tolkien decades to write The Lord of the Rings? I'm starting to understand why.
