I'll just start by saying the lead character, Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth), reminds me of Greg House, just slightly more social. He's basically a human lie detector -- he notices even the subtlest of facial tells. He must be a kick-ass poker player. I can just hear the pounding away at the keyboards of the Cal/Gillian (his right-hand woman) shippers now. I liked how Cal and Gillian picked up Ria at the airport -- and the briefcase full of "signing bonus" cash was cute. But Eli's "brutal honesty" comes across as less like a personal philosophy and more like a mental illness. Tim Roth's kinda cute and I love the accent, but I don't know if it's enough to keep me interested. I'll give the show another episode or two before I decide.
