Book review!

A Local Habitation is the second book of Seanan McGuire's October Daye series, following six months after the events of Rosemary and Rue. This time around, Toby's on a mission from her liege to check up on his niece. She assumes it's a simple diplomatic/babysitting mission, but nothing in Toby's life is ever simple. Quentin, Connor, and Tybalt are back, all trying to help Toby and usually making things more complicated instead. Like its predecessor, A Local Habitation is a murder mystery. While Rosemary and Rue took Toby all over San Francisco, A Local Habitation takes place at a computer company in Fremont. It reminds me of those British mysteries where everyone's staying at a manor house and there's a killer among them. I could not put this book down and I can't wait for the next one.

5 stars!
